Sacrificing Sleep For Cramming?

We've all been up at night cramming for an exam. Either we're desperately going through textbooks and notes, looking for the most important topics, or in front of a computer screen in the darkness finding tutorials online. The test is tomorrow morning, and you figure: "Great. I just drank 7 energy drinks and I got 7 hours to study. There is no way I can fail this."
While that logic may seem infallible, recent studies have found that students who regularly pull all-nighters tend to have lower GPAs than those who don't. Of course, many people don't understand why this is; "How can more hours of studying mean a lower average? You are insane Mr.Article-Writer." This, of course, is because many people don't understand how the brain works and how it retains information.
Pulling all-night cram sessions generally does not work because our brains naturally put the information in short-term storage. Even if you were to inhale coffee powder all night long and study like your life depends on it, you may not even remember what you studied when it comes time to sit down and take the exam.
Because you're relying on your short-term memory, learning something new takes time. Your brain stores information in 3 steps: encoding, storage, and retrieval. When processing information, it encodes what you learn, stores it for later retrieval, and erases it if you never use it again. Experts say that sleep is a very important part of this process. While you're dreaming, your brain organizes or consolidates all this information. That's right, your brain is storing the calculus you learned the day before into the "math folder", and is deleting the name of that person you met but didn't really care about.
Last-minute cram sessions also increases your test anxiety and lowers your immune system, making you more likely to get sick, and causes you to perform worse on the exam.
Even if your exam is in the afternoon, cramming in the morning is discouraged. It's best to just relax your brain during the hours before an examination. Let your mind access the information stored and use it right when you need it.

The solution to late night cramming sessions is laughably obvious; just study a few days before the test. "But", you may say, "I work better under pressure!". Good, you'll have plenty of those situations when you're a heart surgeon, but you'll never get there without passing those exams.

Beauty Tips You've Never Heard

Your morning beauty regime takes you exactly 12 minutes. First comes the face wash, then the astringent, followed by the moisturizer. And the list goes on. It's become such a chore, but wasn't there a time when this routine was fun? Well, we decided to take you back to the days when applying makeup was a treat by giving you some innovative beauty tips and tricks to spice up your routine.
To get this insider information, we contacted Carmindy, resident make-up artist on TLC's "What Not to Wear," and author of The 5 Minute Face. Here are her 10 beauty tips to leave you feeling fresh and fabulous.
Beauty Tip # 1 - Make perfume last.
A few spritzes of perfume in the morning will not carry you through the day, no matter how expensive your bottle may be. To make your scent last, try this beauty tip: put an unscented moisturizer on first and then spray on your perfume a few seconds later. "There's so much alcohol in perfume," Carmindy explains, "that if you spray it on dry skin, a lot of times it evaporates so quickly. But if you have moisturizer on your skin it adheres much better."
Beauty Tip # 2 - Lip gloss without the goop.
Instead of directly putting the tube of gloss to your lips, Carmindy recommends adding an extra step to ensure less stickiness. "I like to put lip gloss on my fingertips first and then just pat it onto the flesh of my lips. And this way you'll get a little bit of glow, but it won't be too goopy." Also, try a moisturizing lipstick or a lip stain first before you add the gloss to make sure the color stays put.
Beauty Tip # 3 - A sweet scrub.
"The best exfoliate in the world is regular white table sugar." If every scrub out there contains some form of sugar, like "Almond Sugar Scrub" or "Brown Sugar Scrub," why not just use what's in your kitchen cupboard? "What happens is that the small crystals dissipate in water so they don't tear your skin." And, if you have sensitive skin, don't fret. "It even works better because with other products you might not like a fragrance or a lot of ingredients," states Carmindy. When you're in the shower, all you have to do is lather your face up like normal and then get a handful of sugar and scrub your face. And if you run out you'll be able to ask your cute neighbor for a spot of sugar!
Beauty Tip # 4 Ditch your spot concealer.
Instead of fumbling around your makeup bag for multiple concealers in the morning, just stick to one, advises Carmindy. The reason why? Because you can actually use the foundation stuck to the top of the cap of your liquid all-over concealer as your spot-treatment. "It oxidizes there so it becomes a little bit thicker." Plus, she says, "It's the same shade as your foundation, so it will instantly erase your blemish." To apply, just take a small tip concealer brush and dip into the cap of your foundation, or the nozzle if you use a spray. Then brush it on the spots and you're ready to go. Now it will be a good thing when your foundation lid gets cakey.
Beauty Tip # 5 - Recycle: Good for the earth, good for your lips.
What are you supposed to do when your four best lipsticks are almost gone and your finger is tired from scraping out the remnants below? Carmindy suggests combining the half-used sticks into your own lip pallet. "Go to the drug store and purchase a plastic pill box and dig out the lipstick that's left in the tubes. Then put each color into a different little section of the pill box." You can mix and match the colors or even put Vaseline in one of the sections to make your own lip gloss.
Beauty Tip # 6 Celebrity-size lips.
To get fuller lips people often outline them with a pencil, but most of the time it looks noticeable and unsophisticated (especially when the lipstick comes off and you're left with just that awful line). To get invisible enhancement, Carmindy recommends you take a Q-tip and dip it in a little bit of white shimmer eye shadow and lightly trace the outside of your lips. "What will happen is that the shimmer will capture the light and make your lips seem larger." You won't be able to see it, but the slight glimmer will do the trick. Great if you don't have any collagen handy.

Who says your beauty routine has to be boring--especially now that you can take a box of sugar with you in the shower or turn a pill box into a personalized lip pallet. With these beauty tips You just might have to rethink your 12 minute routine after all.

Ancient Egypt's Beauty Secrets Revealed

Ancient Egypt has not only given us the Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza. The beauty treatments and procedures that many of us are enjoying nowadays are in fact inspired or derived from the practices of the old Egyptian civilization.
It is not really surprising that Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony found Egypt as an interesting and intoxicating place. Although much of the perceptions of beauty that these two men had were influenced by their desire for the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, it is safe to say that both Marc Anthony and Julius Caesar also found all Egyptians amazing because of their penchant for proper hygiene and beauty. Furthermore, women in Egypt were not the only ones who were concerned about the way they look and smell. Egyptian guys also fuss as much when it comes to their appearance.
In fact, scientists found that bath oils and other beauty implements were used as payment or wages, even to the lowliest of laborers. Moreover, cosmetics and other beauty-related products or ingredients, and not food, were the primary reason why ancient Egypt engaged in foreign trade. Here are some the beauty secrets from Ancient Egypt that can still be practiced even today.
Milk Bath
You must have heard of how AHA, or Alpha Hydroxy Acid, is important in exfoliating your skin. In fact, if you look at the ingredients of many skin products sold in the market today, you will realize that majority of them contain AHA. Queen Cleopatra, the epitome of beauty even up to the present, used AHA through milk baths to keep her skin soft and smooth as ever. It is a common misconception that AHA is a synthetic ingredient. In reality, however, this substance is naturally found in milk and other citrus fruits.
Since it would be quite wasteful (and expensive) to put gallons of full cream milk on your tub everyday, you can reap benefits of AHA in different ways. Surely there are bath soaps, bubble baths and lotions that contain milk to help you achieve the same effect as the milk bath enjoyed by Queen Cleopatra during the old days.
Honey Mask
Did you know that when mummies where excavated and examined, experts found that one food substance used on the bodies to keep them unspoiled was honey? In fact, many scientists believe that honey is one of the reasons why mummies of Egypt were preserved well.
Honey is not only beneficial in the embalming process. In fact, people who are alive and healthy can also make use of it to keep a clear and smooth skin. Since honey is a humectant, it can attract and maintain water, keeping your skin well-hydrated. You can use honey for your face, skin and hair. Just make sure that you rinse your face and body a few minutes after you put honey because you don't want to stain your sheets. Moreover, always go for pure natural honey, otherwise ants and other insects will feast on you because of the sugar content found in low-quality honey.
Myrrh
If there is one substance that kept Egyptians, particularly those in the highest social strata, smelling fresh and clean, it is myrrh. This fragrant oil was prized because it has to be imported from other places. Egyptians used myrrh as an incense and oil to disinfect their bodies or clothing and to make their breaths smell good.
Botanical Oils
Researches have discovered that people during this time used over 21 aromatic oils to protect their skin from the scorching sun, keep them from smelling bad, and treat skin problems like stretch marks, wrinkles and probably even cellulite. But since it would be hard to secure the same recipes for lotions and creams at present, it would be better for us to just stick to the lotions and creams that are available now.

Make Up and Beauty Products: Highlight Your Looks the Best Way

With the correct use of beauty accessories, an extra charm and grace can be easily added to womanly beauty. Some cosmetics are also used to cover common skin problems such as freckles and pigmentation. The consistent use of products such as basic hair care solutions & makeup is an imperative to prevent and treat the ill effects of environmental damage and environmental pollution. Needless to say, if you are getting ready for a festive get-together or even a formal interview, you would like to use a basic make-up kit for an appropriate look.
The skin and hair should be treated with products of finest quality. They must be really safe and help to progress the texture and natural glow without causing any side problems. Cosmetic products are now available in a wide range to suit many skin and hair types. Separate ingredients are used to make creams, lotions and powders for normal, oily, dry and combination skin. Similar is the case of hair care products.
If we consider the case of ideal skin care, the removal of surplus hair is the highest priority for many females. Waxing and shaving are the conventionally known ways to get smooth legs and arms. Branded waxing products are most painless and safe to use. A high quality moisturizer or astringent should also be used to avoid rashes or the red spots that appear after waxing. Top quality epilators help to pull out thin hair from skin. Care of skin also calls for regular use of moisturizing products, toners and facial cleaners. The environmental impurities that harm skin need to be daily removed with a cleansing milk solution.
When it comes to hair care, natural curls and wavy hair look good on a lot of women. However, manaqging frizz can be quite hard at times. Hair straightening products are important for those who prefer to have straight hair. The shampoos, conditioners and after wash lotions add the nice looking glisten and softness to your hair. It is sometimes necessary to maintain clean and healthy hair.
Popular cosmetic products include lip colours, eye liners, eye shadow, mascara, blushers and face powders. These are generally preferred by women and with the right blend of these products, an ideal makeup can be completed for a formal or a party look.
Investing in beauty products and cosmetics from an online store has its own benefits. You get a wide choice and can carefully choose the products that are most suitable for your skin and hair. The timely door step delivery ensures that you get your choice of products with maximum convenience.

Tea and Eyes Beauty

For people who suffer every morning from puffy eyes or have to cover the bags under their eyes, apart from purchasing expensive cosmetic creams to reduce the symptoms perhaps it is wise to try out one of the oldest natural remedies: a couple of tea bags. If you consider it, it is at least worth the try, as your eyes are, apart from the windows or your soul, also the focal point of your face. Thus, you should take good care of them and devote the necessary time to reveal their own special beauty. Having tired, baggy eyes can add years to your age, while sparkling ones can brighten your face and give you a more youthful appearance. Remember that it is vital to care for the delicate area around them and tea or tea bags can help you reveal the best set of eyes.
Just like when you are feeling tired you reach your kitchen's cabinet to grab some of your favorite tea brand and relax, the same should your reaction be in case you wake up in the morning and witness the symptom of puffy eyes in your bathroom's mirror. Chances are that if your body is tired your eyes will show it. Swollen, red or puffy eyes are indicators of fatigue and it is important to be aware of the fact that the black tea bags you place into your favorite mug can also offer your eyes immediate relief.
The restorative effect of black tea is so apparent that it will surprise you how quickly this simple process can reduce your problem and its occurrence. From the night before, you should boil water and put two tea bags in it like you would if you were going to make tea. After brewing for 5 minutes, take the tea bags out and ring out the liquid. Next, place both tea bags into your kitchen's freezer. You need to have them cool, but not frozen. Keep them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes and then take them out, lay down, relax and put the tea bags over the puffy ears over your eyes. Leave them there for approximately another 10-15 minutes, turning them over half way through. Afterwards, remove the tea bags and dispose of them. Then rinse your face with cool water to remove any tea stains. Make sure you rinse off any residue carefully with a cold damp tissue or face cloth.
In addition, warm tea bags might be more relaxing on a cold winter day, and it has been found to reduce under eye puffiness just as well as the cold tea bags. If you do drink tea often you can begin saving the two wet tea bags from your tea pot while they are still warm -careful, not hot! Then you should again select a comfortable spot in your home, be it the bed, the couch or the floor. Place a towel where your head will be resting to prevent leaking and staining. Lie down, place one black tea bag over each eye after closing your eyes first and relax for just five minutes. Deep breathing will increase your oxygen intake while you rest and promote increased energy levels.
You'll be amazed at how much wider open your eyes will feel and how quickly soreness will be reduced. This simple, old-fashioned home remedy is a true gift. There is always the option of buying special eyes tea bags from your local pharmacy or beauty store, but any black tea bag works just as well and is certainly more economical.

Celebrity Beauty Secrets Revealed

Sure, it's their job to look good and they have plenty of help achieving their beauty goals but that doesn't mean the rest of us can't look as good as our favorite celebrities.
One tip celebrities learn early on is that beauty is achieved from the inside out and prevention is key. Going under the knife these days draws as much scrutiny as a bad beach photo showing dimpled thighs and belly fat. Celebrities are simply supposed to look fabulous but without showing the obvious signs of how they achieved the results. But we all know that nothing happens by magic.
We've asked celebrity makeup artists, skincare specialists, nutritionists, doctors and other professionals that work with today's hottest celebrities to share some of the secrets to treating common skin complaints and achieving younger looking, radiant skin at any age.

Protect Skin from the Environment
Stars like Kate Hudson know that protecting their skin from harsh UV rays and environmental irritants helps to preserve the skin's precious collagen reserves. Kate is a fan of Juice Beauty Green Apple Antioxidant Serum.
Actress Cate Blanchett turns to N.V. Perricone Olive Oil Polyphenols Nutrient Face Fortifier (Whew! What a name!) to keep her skin protected with antioxidant packed polyphenols, which also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Super Hydration
It's all about the dewy complexion in Hollywood. So if you're skin is as dry as sandpaper, you'd better get to hydrating (dry skin is more prone to fine lines, making you look older). Debra Messing always seems to pull off the quenched look. Try a dollop of Kate Somerville Quench Hydrating Serum to lock in moisture (plus the Vitamin A fights the signs of aging).
Ivanka Trump gets her Springtime glow from SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Masque. Sure, she's already young but infusing her skin with youth-boosting hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5 can keep her looking as young as she feels. Model-turned-actress Molly Sims moisturizes with Dr. Brandt contour effect moisturizing cream, which plumps up the skin by drenching it with moisture-and moisture is our friend.

Dark Circles
Katherine Heigl relies on Hylexin to stop undereye circles and puffiness in their tracks. The ingredients in Hylexin reinforce capillaries that deposit blood in the undereye area creating those persistent dark circles. So say goodbye to raccoon eyes and hello sexy!
Ashunta Sheriff, exclusive makeup artist to Alicia Keys, offers this advice for making tired eyes look brighter and more rested, "Concealer will definitely take away the appearance of dark circles. Also, even though this skincare line is targeted for men, I've used Morning After Rescue Remedy Gel by Nickel. With caffeine, cucumber and other vital ingredients for under eye skin, it perks eyes up quickly and makes them look refreshed."

Adult Acne
Yes, even supermodels get pimples. Earlier this year supermodel Gisele Bundchen was asked what beauty tricks she's picked up over the years and responded by saying, "I had a really horrible pimple on my nose, and a makeup artist gave me Nelsons Acne Gel. I kept putting it on, and my pimple went away. I was like, this is great. It doesn't burn your skin."
Statistics suggest that roughly 85% of the American population have a problem with acne. The Nelsons homeopathic acne gel actually works and contains no artificial colors, artificial fragrances, or animal products and it is not tested on animals. It's made from natural ingredients like extracts of organically grown hypericum perforatum, calendula, and arnica.
Now that you are armed with all of this beauty advice, your favorite celebrity will have some new competition!

Auto Injury - What Insurance Companies Don't Want You to Know

They may not be the ultimate enemy, but they are certainly not your friend. It is important to make sure that you are doing everything the right way in order to ensure that you are going to get the money you need to cover your expenses and any time that you will have to be away from work.
The most common problem that forms from an auto accident is whiplash and yet it is the hardest thing to prove if you are not seeking the right treatment. The insurance company is hoping that you are going to refuse medical care of any kind and that you will simply try to "wait it out" for a claim so that you can afford treatment. Here's the thing though, your insurance company is going to us the defense that there is obviously not that much wrong with you, otherwise, you would have been seeking treatment whether or not you were going to get any cash from them. Their argument sounds valid, even though it is understandable to want to wait for the financial assistance. Because of this, you could very well find yourself in a position where you are denial of any sort of help. This is not what you want.
The insurance company also hopes that you will stick with your MD. The reason behind their train of thought is that your MD is not as experienced with whiplash and you will probably just be told that the pain will pass and that all you need is some over the counter aspirin. This kind of diagnosis from an MD is what the insurance company is waiting for. Because, if the MD doesn't detect anything wrong, even though you truly have whiplash, the insurance company will not have to fork over the money you need.
The insurance company does not want you to go to the chiropractor because the chiropractic doctor will be able to properly diagnose the problem and he will help you with treatment. This of course, will cost money and it will show that the insurance company really does have to help you out. There is a chance that you could be suffering with pain and loss of work from your neck injuries for many many years to come. Some people will forever have their injury and this is why it is so important to make sure that you are being careful not to mess up. The insurance company is just waiting for you to do that. Don't do it!

Extended Auto Warranty Insurance Against Future Problems

Extended auto warranty insurance is one of those "piece of mind" purchases that some people think are only for fools with money to throw around. After all, the warranty that the manufacturer offers should be plenty, and after that, the costs are just too high. But when you are talking about a major investment like a vehicle, how high do the costs have to be to make them not worth protecting your ride? And how low do they have to be to seem like a wise investment?

For those who worry about the high costs, a powertrain extended warranty might be a good solution. This type of extended warranty covers the engine, transmission and drive train - the parts of a car that tend to cause the most expensive repairs after an original warranty has expired. The beauty of the powertrain warranty is that it protects the owner of the vehicle from the worst of the possible repair bills, but without costing a fortune. Powertrain extended warranties tend to be much cheaper than other options, for the simple fact that they cover fewer items on your car.

For those car owners who think that an extended warranty is a wise investment, and want to be protected no matter the situation, a bumper to bumper extended warranty might be worth a look. These warranties can still vary in cost and coverage, from covering just a little bit more than the usual powertrain extended warranty would cover for a slight increase in costs, to covering practically every aspect of a vehicle that was covered by the original standard manufacturer's warranty. This last option is usually the most expensive, of course, as the company will usually be on the hook to pay for more repairs. But if you have a car that you plan on keeping for many years to come, or a higher performance vehicle that would turn any replacement or repair into a pricey experience, you might find yourself getting good value on the dollar with this type of coverage.
In the end, the extended auto warranty insurance that you choose will depend solely on you and your car. There is a difference between value and cost, and you will have to figure out where the tipping point is for you for an extended warranty. At what point does the value they offer later become more worthwhile than the costs out of your wallet right now? Once you figure that out, you can determine what sort of coverage will suit you best.

Different Types of Auto Insurance

Everybody knows that auto insurance is legally required before you operate a vehicle. What everybody doesn't know is all the different kinds of coverages that are available. Some of them are required and some are optional. Let's take a look at some of them.
Liability is the first kind and it involves both property damage and bodily injury. Property damage is very self explanatory as it is just what it sounds like it is. You are protected by having to pay for any property damage that you inflict in an accident. This includes other vehicles, homes, telephone poles, etc. Bodily injury will cover any medical costs or lawsuits from the result of an accident in which you are at fault. This is a good one to have as hospital bills can get very expensive.
Collision coverage will protect your car in the event of an accident. This coverage requires having a deductible in which you will pay first before your insurance covers the rest. This coverage is optional once your vehicle is paid off. A lot of people will keep it although with an older car it sometimes makes sense to drop it.
Comprehensive coverage will cover your vehicle when there is no accident involved. Things such as fire, water damage, or having a tree fall on your vehicle are all cases that comprehensive is involved. This too has a deductible.
These are the main types of auto insurance coverages that are available to you. There are many more optional ones to consider and you should always ask your insurance agent to explain all of them to you.

Basic Auto Liability Insurance Policies

Basic auto liability insurance policies are low-cost auto insurance policies with a minimum number of benefits. It is a contract between an insured person and the insurance company, in which the insured person pays a premium and the company, in turn, provides financial support within the limits of the policy.
Basic auto liability insurance policies consist of two types of benefits or coverage. They are coverage for bodily injury and property damage. Bodily injury liability provides protection from various claims and court cases that are filed against insured persons, in case the insured person is the cause of injury or death of another person. This type of coverage pays costs for the affected person or his relatives for the pain, suffering, and other hardships, and also for economic damages. This coverage is optional, as it can be selected if a person needs it.
In property damage liability, insured persons are protected from claims and court cases for the damage of property of another person as a result of accident. Property generally refers to the vehicle of another person. However, damage to lamp posts, fences, telephone poles, and buildings is also considered in property liability.
Basic auto liability insurance policies are affordable and simple. Once a policy is selected, a "Limitation on Lawsuit" option is obtained along with the policies. There are certain limitations on the lawsuit option. Legal action can be taken only if death occurs or the person is seriously injured with any one of the conditions such as displaced fracture, dismemberment, major disfigurement or scarring, loss of fetus, and also for other permanent injuries in which body parts cannot function normally.
Basic auto liability policies are risky and provide very less or sometimes even no protection for bodily injury. Two-wheel motorized vehicles and commercial autos are commonly insured using these basic auto liability insurance policies.

Appetite Stimulant For Cats

Cats are generally choosy about the food they eat. The more they are pampered, the choosier they become. However, if your pet lacks appetite consistently and goes without proper nutrition for days together, you need to take the problem more seriously. Otherwise, this could lead to serious health problems.
There are various reasons why your cat may be fussy about eating. Some of the common factors could be dental decay, upset tummy, digestive disorders or problems with the functioning of the kidney. In case you are not clear about the real reason, it is better to contact a veterinarian to find out whether your pet is suffering from parasitical infections. In most cases, these infections can be treated easily.
In order to get your cat back to the normal eating routine, you may have to give certain appetite stimulants.
  • Crush a multivitamin tablet containing Vitamin B and mix it with the cat food. You may be surprised to note that they are attracted to the smell of the supplement. Olfactory sense is quite important for the cat to connect to their appetite.
  • Catnip plant is a natural stimulant which increases the cat's desire to eat. You can mix the natural extracts of the nepeta or catnip plant with the food they eat. Contact your pet store for these products.
  •  Since cats like to eat their predators immediately after killing when they are warm, they have a natural instinct to get attracted to warm food. Try warming up the cat food just before serving. You may find that your pet is more responsive to it than normal canned or dry cat foods.
  •  Cats love sardine and tuna fishes. The smell of these fishes stimulates hunger. Also, it contains vital nutrients that would restore their health.
Vets can also prescribe medications that are appetite stimulants for your pets.

Periactin:
This is an allergy medication that is available in the form of gel, liquid or tablet. If the cat tends to avoid the pill, rub this gel on the tip of the ears.
Remeron:
Mirtazapine or Remeron is prescribed as an anti-depressant for humans. In the case of cats, it aids in increasing appetite and reducing nausea.
 Valium:
Valium, also called Diazepan, is used an anti-anxiety drug for humans. In the case of cats, it acts as an effective appetite stimulant. However, you have to follow the prescribed dosage strictly. Never administer this drug without consulting the veterinarian.

Cat Carriers Are Useful

It is no secret that cats are very independent creatures. They prefer to do things their way, and at their own pace. Unfortunately, this means that cats are not always the best traveling companions, as they do not generally like riding in cars or on airplanes, or traveling in general. Many cats become frightened and agitated when placed in a moving vehicle, which can be dangerous for the feline, and distracting to the driver. One way to overcome these difficulties is by employing cat carriers when traveling with felines.
Cat carriers can help to protect your feline in several different ways. First and foremost, they offer the animal a sanctuary of sorts, giving it a place to feel safe and secure while traveling. Cats are especially prone to looking for places to hide when they feel threatened or are frightened, and a these carriers can provide them with that hideaway. A proper carrier also helps discourage the cat from roaming around the vehicle while it is in motion, which can lead to driver distraction, or worse yet, can interfere with the vehicles operational controls such as foot pedals. Finally, a well-constructed carrier helps to protect your pet from accidents that might occur while moving, such as falling boxes or just simple bumps and scrapes.
There are many options available to pet owners with regards to quality carriers. These options can range from large, hard-shelled models that are designed for airline travel to small-scale, over-the-shoulder bags. Some of larger examples often come equipped with wheels, allowing them to be pulled along, much like a lot of modern luggage. There are even a number of carriers that are designed to mimic the look of a child's stroller, complete with compartments for accessories such as leashes and "waste removal" tools. Of course, the costs associated with a carrier are largely dependent on the size and specifics of its design, as well as the brand name that is attached to the product.
Interestingly, cat carriers are not strictly the domain of pet industry manufacturers. Several well-established fashion designers have also made forays into the world of the pet carrier, although most of these designs are well out of the financial reach of the average cat owner. However, they are fairly popular with a lot of celebrities and are commonly seen in many fashion magazines. These bags are not normally sold through most local pet stores due to their expensive nature.

How Does A Chicken Lay Eggs And How Many Eggs Does A Chicken Lay?

Chickens are marvelous birds that are so productive; they've become an integral part of our society. We use these birds for show, as pets, and for meat and egg production. Egg production is a massive commercial business, and is growing into a personal experience for many who choose to raise their own chickens for eggs. You may want to know how a chicken lays eggs and how many eggs does a chicken lay?
Few stop to think about how a chicken produces eggs, we simply purchase them in a neat carton at the grocery store. If we raise them ourselves, we merely collect them from the nesting box without so much as a second thought. Yet, a lot goes into laying an egg, and chickens are constantly doing it!
For starters, all female chickens lay eggs, but some hens lay more than others. Interestingly enough, chickens have one ovary, and one oviduct, unlike other animals that have two. The entire egg, except the yolk, is formed in the oviduct. When ovulation takes place, the yoke is released and placed into the hen's abdomen. Once in the abdomen, the egg enters the oviduct, and rapidly enters the magnum section. In the magnum section the shape of the egg is determined.
It's in the uterus that the shell is added; the shell is mostly made of calcium carbonate. From there, it takes 20 hours for the shell to form. During this time, there is another egg waiting in the wings to be deposited. In other words, chickens are constantly laying eggs! Once the pigment is determined (in the last hours of formation) the egg is deposited through the oviduct small end first, and out the chicken large end first. The egg may fill the shell when it is layed, but shortly after it will form an air pocket between the egg and the membrane.
If you don't have a rooster, then don't expect any of your eggs to be fertilized. However your hens will behave the same whether or not the eggs are fertilized, and this is called, "brooding." When a hen broods, she will sit on her eggs for an extended period of time, causing them to deteriorate faster. You can prevent this, as well as the occasional grumpiness when you try to remove the eggs from the nest, by regularly removing the eggs on a daily basis if possible.
Don't be alarmed if your hen lays smaller eggs with brittle shells at first, as this usually happens when a chicken first starts to lay eggs. Also, there may be a drop of blood on the shell of the egg, but this is also nothing to worry about. If you see more than a drop of blood on the eggs of a particular chicken, then take them to the vet for a clinical visit.
You can tell if a chicken will lay a good production of eggs by the space between their pubic bones. If there is a two-finger space, then your chicken will most likely lay a good amount of eggs (one a day is not uncommon). Hens that may not lay as well will have little to no space between their pubic bones. Traditionally, good egg layers will have yellow or white skin pigment as well.
How a chicken lays eggs is an amazing process that is in constant motion. A lot of work goes into providing us with nutritious eggs.

Building Hen Nesting Boxes Is A Must For Your Coop

While it may surprise you, chickens behave a lot like humans. Like humans, they prefer to live in clean environments. They also enjoy having each portion of their life separated. Chickens want to eat in one space, sleep in another, and play in another - much like humans. Keep this in consideration when building your hen nesting boxes.

Hens spend a lot of time nesting, as this is where they will lay their eggs. It is important to provide enough boxes for your entire flock, and to keep them padded and neat. The best place to put your nesters is a bit off the floor, and against a wall, so that chickens can feel surrounded on most sides. Feel free to place a top on the boxes as well.

You must have enough boxes for all your hens to use each day. Plan on having one nesting box for every two hens in your flock. If you attempt to use less than this, you may find eggs outside of their nests. If this happens, it is a sign that there are not enough nests and that you should add several more.
Most people choose to build their boxes out of wood, but this does not have to be the case. You can build a nester out of any material you have handy. Just be absolutely sure you are making your boxes large enough for a chicken to turn around comfortably in, but small enough for them to feel tight and snug. Don't forget, if you have more than one size chicken, your nests must be able to accommodate all sizes. If you find a lot of broken eggs, you may need to make your boxes larger.

Hens prefer to lay in clean, dry, and dark spaces. Do not place your boxes where they will be in direct sunlight; avoid placing them directly across from a window. If you have windows in your coop, place your boxes underneath the windows instead. It is also important not to place your hen nesting boxes underneath roosting poles, as this is where your chickens go to the bathroom!

One of the most important considerations is bedding. 3-4 inches of quality, clean bedding will make your hens very happy. The bedding will be kicked and moved, and padded down after use. Wood chips (pine is recommended), paper shreds, and straw and soft hay make the best types of bedding for your hens.
Be sure to spot clean the nests every week, and to clean the entire nest out every six months. Replace bedding as needed. This maintenance will minimize ammonia build-up, which can be hazardous to both you and your chickens.

By carefully planning your hen nesting boxes, and keeping them clean and dry your hens will be happy. Happy hens yield more eggs, and it is your responsibility to make sure your hens have a safe and healthy environment to live and nest in. Make your hens comfortable and keep their nests clean for the most egg production possible.

General Information About Finches Cages

Cages come in many different shapes and sizes. It is very important to pick a cage that suits the size and activity of the bird you're putting in the cage. Cages, either metal or wooden, are the most frequent cost-effective choice for housing finches.
Finches live communally and need room to socialize. They need a bit of Privacy for nesting as well as space for exercise. Brass cages (made of actual brass) are not recommended because of potential toxic qualities. Happy, unstressed finches have their cages or aviaries in quiet, low traffic areas of the house, office or classroom. Swings are an excellent accessory for the finch cage.
Since most stand-up cages are made for parrots and not small birds like Finches, it can be challenging to find stand-up bird cages that work well for Finches and other small birds. When looking for a Finch Cage, just keep in mind that you don't want bar spacing that's wider than 1/2" for your Finch. When setting up the cage or aviary for you finches is that they require ample room to fly around and they must be safe and disease free so the bigger the cage the better.
For a pair of finches the length of the cage should not be less than 30 inches. Toys in the cage are not needed but can be put in the cage if that's what you like. One thing they do need is perches. Dowel perches often cause feet problems so avoid them. Also, never use sand paper covered perches as they are harmful to your bird and offer no benefits. Rather choose nontoxic hardwood branches as perches.
Keep away from redwood, cedar or pressed wood chips as they are very poisonous to birds. As anything made of wood cannot be sterilized, after they are covered in droppings they must be replaced to avoid illness. Finches also like swings but both bird swings and bird perches should be placed out of their flight path and not over their food or water dishes to avoid faecal contamination.
Provide finch feeders for food and water, and dishes for treats and grit as well as an area for a bath. Set up a food dish and water bowl (made of non-toxic plastic or stainless steel) in the cage. Consider placing the containers on opposite sides of the cage to encourage flying and adequate exercise.
Set up a food dish and water bowl (made of non-toxic plastic or stainless steel) in the cage. Consider placing the containers on opposite sides of the cage to encourage flying and adequate exercise. Finches will appreciate a nest box to sleep in. You can attach a "bird protector" disk to the side of the cage to prevent mites. Place paper on the cage bottom that can be sprinkled with grit, or use a grit paper.
Although finches require very little time and effort to keep them, a clean environment as well as fresh food and water daily is a must to prevent disease and illness. The basic cage care includes daily cleaning of the water and food dishes. Every two to three days change the paper on the bottom of the cage and sprinkle it with about 1/8" of fresh grit. Weekly wash and dry the entire cage, including the perches.
Finches thrive when they have access to sunlight so place the cage near a window, and open it if weather permits. However, make sure they have also have access to shade if the cage is placed directly in the sun. If you are unable to provide them with natural sunlight, get a bird light and a timer to simulate day and night cycles.

What Ferrets Eat - Good Ferret Diets

Ferrets like most other animals like meat, they are an obligate carnivore (meat eater). So introducing meat into your ferrets diet is crucial. But there are some different guidelines you need to follow to keep your ferret healthy and happy.
First of all, what ferrets eat can become a problem for you as an owner, if your ferret has been served the same brand or type of food it's entire life, you might find it tricky to make it eat another brand. The only play you have here is to slowly introduce some other tastes by mixing it in with your ferrets normal diet. Be sure to keep an eye on how it goes, ferrets are very stubborn so don't be surprised if they won't eat at all, no matter how hungry they are.
When it comes to what your ferret eat it's always smart to serve the portions in two small doses a day, ferrets are small, and have a very delicate digestive system, so make sure they don't overeat. The diet should also be dry, you can give it moist food, but if this lies out, uneaten too long, your ferret can get sick if they finally eat it. A good rule is not to let the moist food stay uneaten for more than half an hour. Last but not least; the food should be high class brand, no basic cat or dog food, it should be premium ferret food preferably. Premium dog food has also been accepted as they have a good source of nutrients.
A good ferret diet consist of a high source of energy, much protein, calories contained in the form of fat and a little fiber. Ferrets can die or get very sick from malnutrition; for instance if you only give them meat, or only dry basic dog food. There are also some small items you might think was okay to use as treats, but you must not feed your ferret: Chocolate, normal milk, fruits, candy, nuts and nut products. If you need to give your ferret a treat, when training for instance, small pieces of meat or cocked eggs can work well. There have of course been some reported ferret deaths due to malnutrition, but you shouldn't be alarmed about that. If you follow the guidelines above, and understand that your ferret can't eat like humans do, you'll be okay. Remember ferrets have been in the wild for a long time, so a good meat based product will keep your ferret happy.

Are You Allowed To See Your Pet's Cremation?

The answer is normally yes but it will depend on how the pet crematorium works and whatever conditions of licensing that may apply. An appointment will need to be scheduled and this will usually involve an additional charge.
Although this question may be asked, people have different ideas about what they mean. Seeing their pet placed carefully into the cremation chamber is important to some people. This may be to assure themselves that the cremation really is individual or it may be for religious beliefs. Other people may simply want to be present in the grounds at the time of the cremation and not to actually witness the process.
Attended pet cremations have to be fitted into what is often a busy day. The procedures at a pet crematorium are the same as a human one but do not normally have any ceremony accompanying the cremation. People often associate the ceremony at a human service with the time of the cremation but it is not necessarily the case. Whilst the ceremonies are scheduled the actual cremations will be carried out in order and may be later, although always by the finish of the day. To carry out a cremation at a specific time means that some space needs to be available at the start to ensure the unit is available. Obviously this will mean fewer cremations may be carried out and is why an extra charge is often added.
If you want to see the start of the cremation to reassure yourself that it is a genuine individual cremation then there are a few points to understand. Most genuine pet crematoriums have small machines that, for environmental reasons, are not allowed to use coffins for the cremation. To adhere to the rules the cremation unit must be raised to the correct temperature before the cremation begins. This means your pet will be going into a very hot chamber which may result in instant combustion. You must decide if you want this to be your final memory of your pet.
If you wish to view then safety procedures must be observed so it is important to follow instructions from the crematorium as to where to stand. You must not try to interfere with the procedure. It is normal for an additional member of staff to be present to prevent this. There have been cases in the past where people have found viewing the cremation too traumatic and therefore some establishments may not allow this.
Your pet crematorium may have a viewing room where you can watch through a window or you may be able to see it on a closed circuit camera. However you should be cautious if they only show the pet going towards the unit, not the actual inside of the cremator. This may be because the cremation is not being carried out individually.
If you want to be reassured about the start of the cremation but do not want to see your pet go into the hot unit then there are other options. Make arrangements to have your pet cremated at a definite time. Make sure you inspect the inside of the cremation unit before the start of the cremation. The hearth should be clean with no remnants from other cremations. If you see any remains on the hearth then you would be best to go to another crematorium as it means the correct care is not being taken. If you wish to be close by then make sure you can stand somewhere so that you feel part of the cremation without having to actually see it. To take the ashes home you will have anything from an hour and a half to four or five hours wait, depending on the size of your pet. You may want to go off and return later but discuss matters with the crematorium to see what they can do for you.
For complete reassurance always use a member of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries & Crematoria. The standards that are set ensure your pets are cremated following proper working practices and the way you want and expect.

5 Unique Mannerisms and Facial Signs of Allergic Rhinitis

Is your kid having paroxysmal bouts of sneezing? If he does, do you usually see him trying to wrinkle his nose because of itchiness? Or do you notice regular clear watery discharges from his nose? Be advised! That is the classic presentation of rhinitis.
Rhinitis is an inflammation of the lining of the nose, characterized by nasal congestion, rhinorrhea or clear watery nasal discharge, sneezing and nose itching. If there is a strong family background of allergy in the family, allergic form of rhinitis should be strongly considered. Seasonal allergic rhinitis, often known as hay fever is generally seen in children and grown ups who are sensitized to pollens of trees and grasses. Perennial allergic rhinitis has signs and symptoms which occur throughout the year. It is induced by allergens that the patient is constantly exposed to like home dust mites, pet danders, feathers and some animals. Food allergens can additionally be the offending agent.
A kid with allergic rhinitis has airway blockage due to boggy edema of his nasal mucus membranes. Symptoms involve repeated sore throats, dryness of the mouth, loud night breathing, and a nasal quality tot the voice. Interestingly, a kid or even an adult with allergic rhinitis can be recognized based on their skin characteristics and mannerisms.

1. Rabbit nose. This is a mannerism by the kid trying to wrinkle his nose due to itchiness.

2. Allergic salute. A mannerism by the kid referring to the upward or sideways thrust of the palm of the hand against the tip of his nose once watery rhinorrhea and itchiness are significant.

3. Transverse crease. That pertains to the horizontal ridges at the junction of the tip of the nose and the much more rigid bridge. Repeated mannerisms of rabbit nose and allergic salute lead to the formation of the crease.

4. Allergic shiners - These are dark circles under the eyes due to venous stasis resulting from blood flow obstruction brought on by the edema of the nasal mucous membranes.

5. Mouth breathing - Due to sinus obstruction, the child is obligated to breathe in the mouth. Most of the time afterwards he keeps his mouth somewhat open, and this can bring about mouth dryness.
Recognition of these facial features can help in the diagnosis of allergic rhinitis. Once suspected, the child should be brought to a medical practitioner for parent/child education concerning allergic rhinitis, allergen avoidance and pharmacotherapy.

Eye Allergy

Severe allergic eye symptoms are cause for visits to the allergist, ophthalmologist and even the emergency room and are very distressing. Sometimes resulting in visits to the emergency room, these are commonly cause for visits to the allergist and ophthalmologist. Serious eye damage caused due to allergies can threaten eyesight occasionally. Causes for allergy in eyes are along the lines of hay fever and allergic asthma and are associated with allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and dermatitis (atopic eczema). Cosmetics and medications are causes that likely cause eye allergies. Eye irritants that cause reactions are often associated with eye conditions and infections such as pink eye.

Basic anatomy of the outer eye
The outer eye involves the conjunctiva, the mucous membrane (tissue) lining covering the inner folds of the eyelids and white surface of the eyeball. Substances stimulating an allergic response cause eye allergies. When exposed to the environment, the barrier structure of the conjunctiva that is rich in blood vessels and contains more histamine releasing cells (mast cells) than the lungs has to deal with different airborne allergies.
The lacrimal tear glands located in the upper and outer portions of the eye, produce the watery component of tears which help keep the eyes moist and wash the irritants away. Immunoglobulin (antibodies) that are important immune defense components, enzymes, lymphocytes (specialized white blood cells) contained in the cornea tears is the transparent sheath in front of the lens of the eye. There is little immune activity in the cornea and no blood vessels are present.

Eyes - easy target for allergies
The conjunctiva, unlike the filtering system such as the cilia of the nose, is exposed directly to the environment upon opening the eyes. Developing similar to those in the nose, allergy symptoms that cause the antibody IgE to coat the numerous mast cells in the conjunctiva to release mediators like histamine. This produces burning, itching and runny eyes that turn red due to inflammation. Swelling of the eyelids may occur and they may even close together. Swelling with fluid, when the conjunctiva protrudes from the surface of the eye and resembles a "hive", the situation is more serious and light sensitivity may be induced. Typically, the allergic reaction affects both the eyes and since the one infected eye when rubbed makes mast cells release more histamine.
When allergens are the cause for the reaction and inflammation caused in the conjunctiva, the situation is referred to as allergic conjunctivitis. The inflammation causes blood vessels to enlarge and this results in the eyes having a red or bloodshot appearance.

Allergy assist
To rub itchy eyes is the natural response is to and usually due to the physical impact on the mast cells, this worsens the allergic reaction causing more mediators of the immune response to be released. Therefore, do not rub your eyes.

Car Insurance - The One Thing You Should Do Differently When Getting Car Insurance

Let's face it, you haven't spent the past 3 years or more of your life, reading up on insurance policies, rules, regulations or keeping track of what insurers offer. Yet the time has come for you to get car insurance. How do you proceed? You have options. Some better than others. Read this article and find out what one thing done differently saves you the most, both in terms of money and in terms of hassles.
Everybody tells you to shop around, compare car insurance quotes. Everybody is right, if you do your research well, you do save. The problem is that doing the research well takes a lot of time. And you might not ever know if you've uncovered everything you needed to uncover.
So, most people will advise you to search online, Google 'compare auto insurance' or just 'auto insurance' and start sifting through the tons of results. The goal being to locate several reputable insurers and compare auto insurance quotes from them side by side. Basic yet wise advice.

But.
You're not an insurance expert, so it will take time. And even after spending days researching you might not even know all the questions you need to ask.

So, what's the solution?
Instead of searching for a good insurance quote, search for a good independent insurance agent.

Why is that the solution?
Independent insurance agents, unlike regular ones, have access to tons and tons of insurance companies, insurance programs. Unlike you, they know the ins and outs of the insurance business.
The only hiccup - you still have to find a good one. But even an average one can get you the same or better insurance than you can on your own. And in a lot less time. Usually, they are able to find you a cheaper policy. Usually, they make sure you get the right insurance. Because the biggest problem with car insurance is not that people pay too much (I know, it sometimes seems that way) but that they are under-insured.
The one thing that if you did it made the biggest difference with your car insurance, though, is not going to an independent insurance agent. The one thing that if you did it made the biggest difference with your car insurance is going to several of them and have them do your research for you.
They might all come back with the same insurance program, case in which you know for a fact that it is the best, cheapest insurance for you and your car. They might come back with different programs, then you get to ask them to tell you why they think theirs is the best. You end up with a lot of good information. You make a better decision.

Compare Auto Insurance - 3 Ways to Improve Results

It's a fact of life, insurance premiums are going higher and higher. You don't want to be paying them for years on end only to make a claim and find out that they're not paying all you thought you were due. Read this article to find out how to buy car insurance and not find yourself in that kind of predicament.

1. Accept that insurance companies are in the business of making a profit
Insurance companies are selling products in order to make profits. They make more profits if they pay out less in claims. To pay out less in claims they have full-time employees checking and double-checking claims and contracts in order to find reasons why they don't have to pay you that would stand in a court of law.
Note, I did not say anything about ways to not pay you that are nice. Nice, kind, friendly and their kin don't come into play. This is all math and emotion (desire for profit, greed).
Understand, too, that there are people who make fraudulent claims. That there are people who did not read the contract and make claims. If you were an insurance company, you'd also have people looking comparing claims and contracts, looking out for legal reasons not to pay. Like insurance companies, you'd be giving out bonuses to those employees who find the most legal ways for you to not pay a claim.

2. Accept that the marketed image and the reality don't match
Since they have money and want to make more of it, insurance companies hire people who're good at marketing to come up with ways to convince you, people who've studied buyer psychology. People who come up with words that work on your emotions (fear of loss, desire for gain, for security) because they get paid if the insurance company sells you something.
However, those people are not the ones you're going to be dealing with if you make a claim. When you make a claim, you're going to be dealing with the people who look for ways to legally not pay a claim.
In other words, understand that insurance company marketing is promises (within the realm of the legal) but not legally binding promises. In other words, they cannot lie when they market, what they say must be true under certain circumstances or for some of the people. But not you and your circumstances, necessarily. Pay attention to the fine print.

3. Understand that you need to read and understand contracts
Claims made in contracts are the only ones that are legally binding. For that reason you have to read them and understand contracts. In the case of insurance company contracts, there are many terms that are not used as they are used in day-to-day speech. Those words have the specific definition in the contract.
Furthermore, you need to read and understand the whole thing. I know they're long and boring. But you have to do it. The insurance company knows exactly what's in their contracts.

So, how do you move forward? You can trust insurance companies to do what is in the contracts they signed. In other words, it's not about trust. It's about entering legal agreements. And legal agreements must be fully understood before they're signed.
So, the next time you compare auto insurance, don't hurry, read and understand the whole contract. If you don't, it will come back to bite you.

Auto Insurance Quotes - Why Do They Vary So Much From Driver To Driver?

You've probably noticed that some drivers pay more than other drivers even if they drive the same model and year car. Most likely, you've noticed that the young pay higher premiums than the older, men then women.
Insurance companies look at a lot of statistics, then they look at which statistics apply to which driver. Basically, they're looking to see which group, statistically, has the highest chance of making a claim, which has the second, the third, and so on.
They've noticed that men tend to have more driving accidents then women. That younger people, especially the under 25-year olds, tend to have accidents more often than older people. Single drivers tend to be more reckless than married ones. People who've bent or broken the law once might do it again more often than those who've never done so, and end up in an accident. People who drive more tend to have more accidents than those who drive less.
Then they look at the type of car you drive. Here's a combination of statistics and other factors. Statistically, smaller cars tend to cost insurers more than bigger cars (they're just not as safe, partially because there are bigger cars out there). Some cars tend to cost them more because the parts are expensive, older cars cost less. Some cars are stolen more often than others. Cars in some neighborhoods have greater chances of being stolen or vandalized.
When they're done looking at all that stuff, they have a basis to judge how much to charge you for. Basically, they guess how much they're going to have to pay in the coming year for the whole group you belong to, add their other costs, the profits they want to make, and then figure out how much they need to charge each individual in your group so they get all their pay outs, costs, and profit.
Some things you don't control (you can't just become a middle-aged woman just to get a lower premium and you can't stop people all the vandalism and auto theft). However, a lot of the things they use to figure out how much premium to charge you are under your control. You do control:
  • the car you're going to buy
  • whether you have anti-theft devices installed
  • whether you drive drunk or not
  • whether you make small claims or not
  • and, to a certain degree at least, the neighborhood you live in
  • and the deductible you are going to pay.
So, the next time you're looking for auto insurance quotes, do your research. Until then don't do any of the things that make you be perceived as high risk. And, of course, accept that you don't control the things you do not control.

Additional Benefits to Supplement Your Car Insurance Policy

When you go looking to get your car insured, you will most possibly have to choose one of the three types of insurance that are available in the market, be it fully comprehensive, third-party fire and theft, or just third-party. As it is a legal requirement in the United Kingdom to pay insurance, you will have to take one of the insurances policies out, to make sure that you are covered. What is not known so widely, is that insurance companies can and will offer additional benefits to supplement your insurance.
These for obvious reasons cost extra, and whilst there is that sort of certain peace of mind to having them, it is wise to really ascertain them and break them down to their components before putting your hand in your pocket and paying for them.
  • Perhaps one of the most popular additional extra that will be offered to you is breakdown recovery and assistance, although in some cases in a premium insurance this might be included, but for the main it is an extra. Maybe before taking out this additional cost you will want to consider do you really need it? For example if your car is brand new, or only couple of years old, you might think that having a breakdown extra on your policy is not worth it, however, if your car is older, and you are not 100% sure that it might hold out, you maybe would like to have some sort of roadside assistance and recovery insurance will give you that benefit. Also it is an extra that a lot of women take out, as often the fear of breaking down anywhere on the roads today, can be a hazard, and especially if you are alone.
  • The other thing you might like to consider is if you will require a courtesy car, this is a vehicle that is provided to you whilst your car is being repaired, or otherwise not available to you. This can be a nice touch as an extra, and be a very welcome help, should you not have your car, but bear in mind, it is not in all situations that a courtesy car will be given to you, and often or not the insurance company will make pay to have the car insured whilst you use it.
  • We all know how expensive legal bills can be and an extra on your car insurance can be having legal protection. For example if you are involved in any accident, and for whatever reason it is not your fault, this legal protection will give you the opportunity to regain any losses that you incurred from the person who was responsible for the accident. The amount of money that is usually offered to you is up to 100,000 pounds for legal cover.
Take care, read the small print, this cover will not be offered to you, if your car insurance company think the case that you want to take to court cannot be won, so bear this in mind when taking this extra on your insurance.
